Fine Art & Multimedia

The oldest son of an electrician and rural mail carrier, I was born in Woodward, OK in 1983 and started loving the arts at an early age. From drawing and building to learning to play guitar and singing, I grew up creating and being creative. I first began to consider art as a career in my early high school years. By my sophomore year I made the decision to pursue the fine arts in college. I worked all through high school creating art and playing music. In 2003 I graduated high school and immediately enrolled in my  first college courses in the fine arts at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO) in Chickasha, OK. I spent the next four years and countless hours working with various mediums and creating an eclectic collection of artwork. I was instructed by various talented professors at USAO and because of the curriculum in the art department enjoyed a well-rounded exploration with various mediums. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art from USAO with an emphasis in painting.

After graduating from USAO, I went to work for a local publishing company and record label for a couple years where I began to learn about animation and motion graphics which became another great love of mine. My knowledge in this area grew and expanded to include film. I currently work for the internationally known church multimedia and live event group "The Skit Guys" as a multimedia producer (VFX, motion graphics, animation, design, various on set responsibilities, and some script writing). I also do painting and motion graphics/film freelance.

Although I have painted various images and occasionally even try my hand at different styles, I always come back to my love for large, dramatic, and realistic portraits. I have had the honor to paint portraits of and for NBA Stars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.  I have painted portraits of Phil and Kay Robertson from A&Es hit reality show "Duck Dynasty." One painting was signed by the cast members and auctioned off for an event in Woodward, OK in October of 2013. The other painting resides in the couple's home and can be seen from time to time on the show.

I love to create plain and simple. I am one of the most blessed men on the planet to get to do what I love to do every day. I desire to continue growing in my skills, meeting new people, and encouraging others to do what they love... create, and be creative!

I currently reside in Woodward, OK with my wife, five-year-old boy, and 2 month old daughter. I love spending time with all of my family and friends, hanging out with my wife and son, creating art, and playing music with my little sister. I am thankful for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gives all good things --- including anything good that can be said about me or what I do!
